Surface properties

The surface properties of sports balls are measured in cooperation with a leading department of metrology in the field of mechanical engineering. Precise machines with high accuracy of tenths of micro-meters are used.

Aerodynamic characteristics

The aerodynamic characteristics of sports balls are measured in wind tunnel experiments based on a special set-up, which was developed to enable measurement of forces acting on rotating objects. Based on this significant instrument, it is possible to investigate aerodynamic characteristics in all realistic conditions - speed and revolutions.

Analyses and recommendations for sports ball production

The analyses of results of wind tunnel testing and surface properties measurements are performed. Exact recommendations for customers are defined based on the analyses. The main goal is, that the customer has scientifically based recommendations for development of a new ball. The recommendations are made according to customers required aerodynamic properties, which are specified in the beginning of the cooperation.
